Sean Mulligan

Sean is the founder and CEO of VorTech Water Solutions. Having focused his PhD on the deep research field of vortex flows and hydraulic infrastructure, he subsequently went on to develop Vortex Powered Aeration, a new class of innovative, energy efficient wastewater treatment technology which is the basis of the VorTech startup.

He is currently responsible for customer and partner engagement, commercial operations as well as strategic initiatives for the company’s scientific and technological innovation.

Sean’s ambition is to continue developing and translating practical hydraulics research ideas into tangible products and solutions to solve the most pressing challenges of the global water industry.

Sean holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from Institute of Technology Sligo and a PhD from the Atlantic Technological University.
