Peter Leonard

Peter is the Technical Lead at VorTech Water Solutions, overseeing Research and Development, Intellectual Property Development, and Product Development. Additionally, he develops and optimises wastewater treatment processes, specifically focusing on biological treatment process efficiency whilst minimising energy consumption at customer sites.

Peter is a co-inventor on three patents and has developed an intelligent control platform for Vortex Powered Aeration (VPA), which has been deployed at active municipal and industrial locations, providing the ability to monitor and autonomously control the aeration and mixing process effectively.

Peter holds a bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and is pursuing a PhD in Environmental Engineering (Civil) from the University of Galway.
